MANDATORY EQUIPMENT
For all events:
- Shirt (or similar) and pants (or similar)
- Running shoes that fully cover the foot and suitable socks.
- Thermal blanket
- Whistle
- Minimum water reserve of 1 L. It is recommended to refill at every aid station, with special emphasis on km 21 (mandatory from 11:00 a.m.) and km 34 (mandatory from 1:00 p.m.) of the Marató dels Dements and the Marató dels Dements Skymasters, and km 13.5 (mandatory from 10:00 a.m.) of the Mitja Marató dels Dements d’Aín.
- Windproof jacket with hood with a minimum of 10,000mm waterproof and breathability. (This requirement may be waived by the organization depending on weather conditions, but it is recommended).
- Fully charged mobile phone
- GPS device (watch or phone) connected during the entire race
- The use of headphones or any other music device is not allowed
Additional for the Marató dels Dements:
- Headlamp or similar for all participants who pass the material control with a time greater than 4:30 hours. (This rule is mandatory for those expected to be above this time threshold due to the time of year, so please plan accordingly).
There will be a material check at KM 21 (Aín). The mandatory gear will be inspected for each participant. It is the runner’s responsibility to present the mandatory gear to the control officials.
Starting without all the mandatory equipment will not be permitted.
Runners found to be missing any mandatory equipment during the race will be penalized as stated in Article 26.
RECOMMENDED GEAR
- Poles/Sticks. Due to the nature of the event, the use of poles/sticks is recommended.
They can only be picked up and left at the designated aid stations where assistance is allowed.
