MITJA D'ESLIDA
First Part of the Marató dels Dements
This route represents the ideal start for anyone wanting to prepare for the Marató dels Dements. Starting and finishing in Eslida, it covers some of the most emblematic peaks of the Serra d’Espadà, combining fast sections with demanding climbs.
We will ascend La Costera, Tarraguan, Puntal de l’Aljub, and Batalla.
The terrain is mostly runnable, except for the climb to Puntal de l’Aljub. If the ridge is avoided and the ascent is done via the section of the last descent of the Marató, the pace can be faster.
Water is available at Font de Matilde, approximately at kilometer 10.
This route has traditionally been considered the preliminary step to truly being prepared for the Marató dels Dements. It is a trial by fire to test endurance, technique, and the ability to maintain a good pace on mountain terrain.

FONTS D'ESLIDA
Volta a les Fonts d’Eslida, classic trail running route in Eslida
An iconic route for any trail running lover in the Serra d’Espadà. This is the summer race where many of us first started running in the mountains. It is traditionally held on the first or second Saturday of August.
With start and finish in Eslida, it is not very difficult, accessible, and ideal for quick training sessions.
There are many water points along the route: Font de Matilde, Font del Fonillet, Font de Sant Josep, Font de les Fosques.
A circular route, short but very representative of our surroundings, perfect for enjoying summer running through shade and fountains.

VOLTA A L'OMBRIA D'ARTANA
Volta a l’Ombria, in Artana, another traditional summer race in our area, with start and finish in Artana (only 5 km from Eslida), is an ideal route for a quality training session the week before a race.
Moderate difficulty route, with progressive elevation gain.
You need to carry your own water.
Ideal to loosen your legs before a race or to enjoy an intense workout. A circular route that combines sustained climbs with fast descents, perfect for testing endurance and technique on dry, hot terrain.

ESLIDA - CORRALS - XAUTENA - AÍN
Una ruta llarga i variada que connecta els termes d’Eslida, Artana, Alcudia de Veo i Aín, ideal per a un entrenament de fons sense un desnivell excessiu. És una opció perfecta per descobrir nous camins fora del recorregut habitual de la Marató dels Dements.
Eixida i arribada a Eslida, passant per Artana, Alcudia de Veo i Aín, de difificultat Moderada, llarga però amb desnivell suau.
Recomanable portar aigua pròpia. Tot i que hi ha alguna font, no es garanteix la seua disponibilitat
Una ruta circular molt recomanable per a conèixer millor la Serra d’Espadà i gaudir d’un entrenament complet i tranquil.

ESLIDA - AÍN - COCONS
Activation Route from Eslida
A short circular route with start and finish in Eslida, ideal for a gentle activation before a more demanding training session or race. The route passes by the remains of a Civil War abandoned village, with a spectacular viewpoint from where part of the Marató dels Dements course can be seen.
There is water available halfway through the route, in Aín.
Low difficulty, ideal for activation or a quick walk. There is a water point in Aín.

ESLIDA - PUNTAL
Ruta circular amb eixida i arribada a Eslida, ideal per a una activació prèvia a cursa. Es puja al Puntal de l’Aljub pel traçat inicial de la Marató dels Dements, evitant la cresta, i es baixa per la Mina de Blavet i el barranc de Xova.
Punts destacats de la ruta són la pujada clàssica al Puntal de l’Aljub, i al descents trobem la Mina de Blavet i ens endinsem al barranc de Xova.
De dificultat moderada – curta però amb desnivell intensos.No hi ha punts d’aigua al recorregut
Una ruta curta però intensa, perfecta per activar cames i gaudir de vistes espectaculars.

ESLIDA - PENYA BLANCA - AÍN
A route starting from Eslida, with a few gentle initial kilometres. After passing through Aín —where you can refill water— it heads towards the emblematic Penya Blanca, the final climb of the Marató and the second-to-last of the Mitja d’Aín.
A great training option to get to know different sections of both the Marató and the Mitja d’Aín, if you prefer to start and finish in Eslida.

Short route, ideal for activating the body —either climbing via the track and descending on the trail, or the other way around: going up the GR36 trail and coming down the track to loosen the legs. Start and finish in Eslida.

COLLADO MOSQUERA - PENYA BLANCA - PUNTAL
Longer route with significant elevation gain, starting and finishing in Eslida.
Once you reach Aín, the route climbs to Coll de Mosquera through the Barranc de la Caritat, then links back to the Coll and returns following the useful ridge section and descent from the Marató.
Two water points available: Aín and the Barranc del Roig.

3 PICS ESLIDA
A half marathon through the Eslida area, passing over three of the peaks featured in the Mitja d’Eslida or in the first part of the Marató —la Costera, el Puntal and la Batalla— but following an alternative route.
